Festival Roundup: Cannes Winners 2015

Ah, Festival de Cannes, notre amour! This year the 68th annual Cannes Film Festival ran from May 13-24, 2015 at the coastal city of Cannes along the French Riviera.

This year’s well-known juror panel was headed by Joel and Ethan Coen as the Presidents of the Jury. The Coen brothers have collaborated on award-winning films including Fargo, No Country for Old Men, and The Big Lebowski. This was the first year in the festival’s history that two people chaired the jury.

The other jurors on the Cannes panel included: director-writer-producer Guillermo del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth); actor Jake Gyllenhaal (Nightcrawler); singer-songwriter Rokia Traoré (Mouneissa); actress Sienna Miller (Layer Cake); director-actor-writer Xavier Dolan (I Killed My Mother); director-actress Sophia Marceau (Braveheart); and finally, actress Rossy de Palma (Broken Embraces).
